Insurance And Medical Care

The school does not carry insurance for the teachers.

Medical care is China is not expensive. A visit to a doctor will be considered as very expensive if the charge is more than two or three U.S. Dollars. More sophisticated medical treatment is available in big cities like Guangzhou. Some low income Hong Konger goes to China for medical treatment if they are tired of waiting in Hong Kong to get their free medical. In China, they have to pay the foreigners' price but they often found it acceptable and it is better than waiting in Hong Kong. The standard of medical care in China is similar to most third world countries. It is the general opinion of Hong Konger that medical doctors in China are quite good; the medicine is acceptable especially if one is willing to pay for imported medicine but the cleanness of hospitals is nothing like Hong Kong.

The school has a full time doctor and nurse. The charge for visit to the school doctor is very little if any.
